Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to work with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), charities and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry to ensure alignment between the work of the Cancer Drugs Fund and NICE.

NHS England is leading work to develop options to ensure greater alignment between the Cancer Drugs Fund and the work of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

We understand that NHS England is currently developing proposals for discussion with key stakeholders.
