NHS England is responsible for the financial management of the Cancer Drugs Fund. We understand that NHS England uses data from clinical trials and from pharmaceutical companies to help predict the budgetary impact of both the existing drugs available through the Fund and drugs that could become available in the future. NHS England is continually validating these predictions against data on actual spend.
