Child Benefit: Northern Ireland

Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what changes there have been in the number of households in each constituency in Northern Ireland in receipt of child benefit between January 2009 and January 2014.

The latest information on the number of families receiving Child Benefit, by each parliamentary constituency, local authority and region are available in the HMRC snapshot publications “Child Benefit Statistics Geographical Analysis” for August 2009-2013. These can be found at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/child-benefit-geographical-statistics

Table 6 on each publication has the requested information by Parliamentary Constituency for its corresponding year.

Child Benefit statistics are published on an annual basis, using a snapshot of data in August.

August 2014 data will be published on 27th February 2015.
