Human-Animal Hybrid Embryos

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many treatments have resulted from research conducted upon animal-human admixed embryos in each year since 2009.

This information is not collected by the Department. The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority does not collect this information as it is not part of its statutory duties.
It should be noted that animal-human admixed embryos are not permitted for direct use in treatment.
