Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what arguments his Department advanced in favour of the decision that its dispute with Fujitsu regarding the National Programme for IT was not to be heard in public.

There is a dispute resolution procedure in the Fujitsu contract which allows for disputes to be determined by alternative dispute resolution procedures, rather than court proceedings. The Department and Fujitsu have applied this procedure, which is not unusual for complex contractual disputes like this one.
