In 2017/18, there were 302,096 emergency admissions related to falls in older people. As stated in the NHS Long Term Plan, we are committed to improving falls and fracture prevention. As well as supporting general practitioners to identify and treat those most at risk from falls, we are also providing various schemes, including exercise classes and strength and balance training, which aim to reduce hospital admissions.

NHS England has made no formal assessment of the potential merits of using digital gait solutions.
