Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many people in receipt of housing benefit have moved to smaller properties since the introduction of the under-occupancy penalty in (a) 2014 to date and (b) 2013.
This question was answered on 14th July 2014
The information requested as to how many people have moved to smaller properties is not available.
However this week the Department will be publishing a statistical analysis of changes in numbers subject to a reduction in Housing Benefit award as a result of the Removal of the Spare Room Subsidy.
