The nature of sexual violence in conflict in Burma means there are no accurate country-wide figures available. However, a report by the Women's League of Burma in January 2014 documented over 100 cases of sexual violence in conflict since 2010. While there are signs incidents of sexual violence have decreased since the Burmese government signed ceasefire agreements with a number of non-state armed groups, it remains a serious problem.
