The Home Office oversees the exchange of notes arrangements to share company beneficial ownership information between UK law enforcement agencies, the British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies.

The government reviewed the Exchange of Notes arrangements earlier this year, after six months of operation, and found that all the arrangements were working well. This is described in a Written Ministerial Statement of 1st May 2018 (HLWS641). The government will conduct a statutory review of these arrangements by summer 2019.
