Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what assessment his Department has made of the legality of the continued detention of Bahraini political prisoner, Elyas Faisal al-Mulla.

We continue to closely monitor events in Bahrain and where we have concerns, we raise them with the Bahraini authorities. We encourage those with concerns about treatment in detention to raise them with the appropriate Bahraini human rights oversight body.
