Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, if he will make it his policy to rule-out the introduction of fees for admission to over-subscribed schools supported by public funds.

Education legislation prevents all state-funded schools from charging for admission. The School Admissions Code, which applies to all state-funded schools (including academies and free schools through the terms of their funding agreements), further enforces this. I have no intention of changing this legislation.
