The Home Office takes its obligations under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act seriously and has dedicated teams responsible for the handling of requests. The department receives one of the highest volumes of FOI requests across central government. In 2022 we responded to 92% of FOI requests within the permitted time and to 93% in the first quarter of 2023.

Home Office FOI performance statistics are published and can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/government-foi-statistics#2023
