The Government attaches great importance to the timely handling of Written Parliamentary Questions (PQs).

Departmental performance on Written PQs is published at the end of each session by the Procedure Committee. Details of the last session are here: https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm5803/cmselect/cmproced/385/report.html

This year’s data will be published when the session concludes.

The department is taking measures to ensure the timeliness of responses to Written PQs including implementing strict internal deadlines, delivering regular training for officials and regularly reviewing our internal processes.
