The Submarine Dismantling Project remains on track to deliver a safe, secure, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible solution for dismantling all our non-operational submarines.

The first disposal, Swiftsure, is taking place in Rosyth and is being used as a demonstrator to inform and refine the dismantling process for subsequent submarines. This will provide more certainty on the dismantling schedule for future submarines. The project remains on schedule for completion by the original target date of 2026.
