School admission arrangements are set and applied locally.

The School Admissions Code already enables admission authorities to give priority to children who have a particular social or medical need to attend their school. This could include circumstances where the parent has a disability.

Where admission authorities wish to prioritise children on this basis, it must be clearly set out in their admission arrangements.
