The majority of services for people with Tourette’s syndrome are commissioned locally by integrated care boards (ICBs). ICBs have a statutory responsibility to provide health service to the local population, subject to local prioritisation and funding, which includes access to specialist medical services for people with Tourette’s syndrome as appropriate.

The Department continues to proactively engage with stakeholders regarding Tourette’s syndrome and I recently met with the charity Tourette’s Action.
