Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent assessment he has made of his Department's compliance with Regulations 9 and 10 of the Working Time Directive.

The Department for Transport has not made a recent assessment of its compliance with Articles 9 and 10 of the Working Time Directive, which are concerned with the welfare of night workers. Night working as defined under the directive is not normally required of DfT employees.
