Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what assessment his Department has made of the implications for his policies of the Final Report of the Regulation of Property Agents Working Group, published in July 2019; and whether he plans to introduce legislation to create an independent body to regulate managing agents.

The Government is considering the recommendations in the final report on the regulation of property agents from Lord Best's working group. We will continue to work with industry on improving best practice. Announcements will be set out in the usual way.
