The National Health Service trusts will meet the increase in cost to have their waste disposed of by Mitie. It is not possible at this stage to disclose the cost differential from transferring the contract from Healthcare Environment Services to Mitie, as the Mitie contract has been let on a price per tonne basis for all waste collected from the 15 trusts, rather than an overall contract price. Details of the price per tonne paid to Mitie is subject to commercial sensitivity.
