Hospitals: Waste Disposal

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to ensure that (a) human and (b) clinical waste from hospitals is properly disposed of.

The Department has worked with NHS Improvement and NHS England to put in place a new contract for National Health Service trusts so that all clinical waste is removed from sites and disposed of safely.
