In 2022/23, funding for Departmental and system administration costs will be £3.3 billion, representing 1.9% of the Department’s Revenue Departmental Expenditure Limit (RDEL) of £176.1 billion. The rest of this RDEL funding is allocated to NHS England, other arm’s-length bodies and other Departmentally-managed programme budgets for frontline spending.
