Since the European Union referendum on 23 June 2016, there have been no official level meetings between Ministers or officials in the Department and officials from the World Trade Organization (WTO). Although no official level meetings have taken place with the WTO, the Department of Health and Social Care works closely with the Department of International Trade to ensure that its positions and the United Kingdom’s health policy are considered in all discussions relating to this area.
