Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, if the UK Government will make it its policy to suspend the issue of arms export licenses to Saudi Arabia.

We assess arms exports to Saudi Arabia against strict criteria. The key test is whether there is a clear risk the items might be used in the commission of a serious violation of international humanitarian law. We take this very seriously and keep licensing decisions under careful review. ​
