Once the implementation period ends, the European Environment Agency (EEA) Agreement will no longer apply to the UK. The nature of our relationship with the EEA during the implementation period and beyond are a matter for negotiations.

Plans for the European Environment Information and Observation Network are directly linked to the EEA and will therefore be determined by the outcome of these negotiations.

We do not want or expect a no deal outcome. We have however always been clear that the Government would prepare for every outcome, including the unlikely event of a no deal.
