The Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance has responsibility for Housing Benefit (including Local Housing Allowance rates), the housing element of Universal Credit, Support for Mortgage Interest and Discretionary Housing Payments. He also works alongside the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government on supported housing and temporary accommodation.
