Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many patients received an implantable cardioverter defibrillator in each region of England in each of the last three years.

The number of new implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) implanted in each of the last three years in each region of England is listed in the following table. The information is provided by the region of the hospital that provided the intervention, not the patient’s region of residence.
