Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he plans to recruit new staff to process applications for settled status.

We are fully committed to ensuring that our operational teams have the re-sources they need to run an efficient and effective migration system. To this end, recruitment is underway to bring existing UKVI European Casework staffing levels to c.1,500 ahead of the EU Settlement Scheme launch later this year.
Operational units across the Home Office actively monitor workflows to ensure sufficient resources are in place to meet demand. Any resultant changes to resource requirements will be factored into strategic planning.
