Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that abortion guidelines issued by professional bodies in Northern Ireland will be the same as guidelines issued by professional bodies in England and Wales between 22 October 2019 and 31 March 2020.

Guidance issued by professional bodies is a matter for each individual organisation. The Government has published its own guidance for healthcare professionals in Northern Ireland on abortion law in the period 22 October 2019 to 31 March 2020, which is available at the following link:
