The Fundraising Regulator is the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It was established in July 2016 by the charitable sector, with support from Government, following a cross party review of fundraising self regulation. Its creation aimed to strengthen the system of charity regulation and restore public trust in fundraising.

Charities that spend more than £100,000 a year on fundraising pay a voluntary levy to fund the regulator. Its most recent published accounts for the period ended 31 March 2017 show levy income of £1.524m for the 2016-17 financial year.
