Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what data his Department collects on domestic abuse cases involving a male victim.

The Home Office collects information from police forces in England and Wales on the number of recorded crimes which have been identified by them as domestic abuse-related.

This data is supplied to the Office for National Statistics and the latest data was published in a cross-departmental bulletin ‘Domestic abuse in England and Wales: year ending March 2017’. Statistics on domestic abuse-related offences by sex of the victim can be found in Figure 6 of the bulletin, available here:
