Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether his Department’s procurement policy takes account of the use of secondary materials in the purchasing of new products; and if he will he make a statement.

Defra Group Commercial is in the process of rewriting its Procurement Policy to reflect changes to policy and best practice. The Procurement Policy document will include the use of secondary materials in the purchasing and supply of new products for future procurements. Once completed this document will be accessible on the internet.
