Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 59 paragraph 5.83 of the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review, what work has been undertaken with Latin American states on cyber security.

As set out in the National Cyber Security Strategy (NCSS) we are committed to pursuing international action, encouraging and deepening global partnerships.

We work with other nations and multinational institutions so that we are able to respond to, and operate effectively in, a wide range of scenarios. In many cases, the Ministry of Defence supports other Government Departments on international initiatives, including the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the National Cyber Security Centre.

Tackling malicious cyber incidents requires international cooperation, which is why we are committed to working with our partners, bilaterally and multi-nationally, to enhance cyber resiliency for all.
