Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) unity matters to long-term regional security and stability. We welcome the improvement in relations and opening of air, land and sea borders between Qatar and its neighbours, signified by the Al Ula Declaration of 5 January at the GCC Summit. This Declaration underlines the commitment of the GCC Member States to the goals set out in the GCC Charter, including achieving security, peace, stability, and prosperity in the region by working as a single, unified economic and political group.
