A Carte de Séjour is a residency document. We advise all British people overseas to ensure their documentation is up to date. British residents of France do not require a Carte de Sejour, but are entitled to one. We will continue to discuss with the French authorities the future registration requirements for those UK nationals in France covered by the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement, and we will update the British community in due course.
