The first ever Cancer Workforce Plan, which Health Education England (HEE) published in December 2017, sets out how we will expand our workforce numbers and invest in the skills of our staff and use their time and expertise where it is needed most.

HEE has already committed to training 1,890 more diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers by 2021. The plan further commits to the expansion of capacity and skills, including an additional 300 reporting radiographers by 2021.
