Relevant buildings for the purpose of the ban of combustible materials are defined in regulation 7(4) of the Building Regulations, these include buildings containing flats, hospitals, residential care premises, dormitories in boarding schools and student accommodation with a top occupied storey above 18 metres. This includes care homes.
