We developed ‘People at the Heart of Care’ in partnership with over 200 organisations and people with lived experience of care and support services. Care providers were represented through the Care Provider Alliance and other national care bodies. Public sector commissioning and provision was represented through the Local Government Association and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services. Prior to the development of the white paper, we engaged with 1,200 care managers and care workers to understand the barriers to the adoption of digital social care records. We continue to engage via a governance structure, including the Digital Social Care Advisory Group.
