Pancreatic Cancer: Clinical Trials

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the current research activity status is of clinical trials for pancreatic cancer in (a) England, (b) Wales and (c) Northern Ireland.

The Department’s National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network is currently supporting 46 studies on pancreatic cancer. This includes 38 studies led by England, five studies led by Scotland, two studies led by Wales and one study led by Northern Ireland. Three studies have closed to recruitment and are now in the follow-up phase. Seven studies are in the set-up phase. Nine studies are suspended and 27 studies are open for recruitment.
