Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the change in the ratio of investments in stocks and shares ISAs to cash ISAs has been in each of the last five years.

HMRC publishes annual statistics on new subscriptions and total savings in cash and stocks and shares Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs). These are available on the GOV.UK website: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/individual-savings-accounts-isa-statistics

These statistics consider investments in ISAs in a number of ways, including: the number of accounts subscribed to, the amounts subscribed and the total market value of funds.
