A Tier 2 and 5 sponsor is required to report, to the Home Office, any migrant they sponsor who is absent from work for 10 or more consecutive working days without permission. This should be done within ten working days of the 10th day of unauthorised absence.

If a Tier 2 or 5 migrant is absent from work without pay for 4 weeks or more in a calendar year, their leave may be curtailed, taking into account all relevant circumstances.
