Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what discussions he has had with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on Government financial support for measures to safeguard against cyber threats to democratic process.

The Government is committed to investing in cyber capabilities to protect the UK from modern threats both online and in the physical world. Defence Ministers and officials routinely discuss a range of business, including cyber issues, with HM Treasury counterparts.
