Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what information her Department holds on the number of people who have been unlawfully detained in immigration centres for (a) 1 week, (b) 1 month, (c) 3 months, (d) 6 months and (e) 1 year or more.

Information on the number of people who have been unlawfully detained in immigration centres for the periods requested is not held centrally and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost through the examination of individual case records.
