Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether (a) she or (b) Ministers or Officials of her Department have discussed the shooting of 8 March 2018 in Wood Green with (i) the local authority, (ii) the Metropolitan Police or (c) Mayor of London.

The investigation into this incident is an ongoing operational matter. It is therefore not appropriate for me to comment on this specifically. However, we are in regular discussion with law enforcement about gun crime and are working closely with them to ensure that we have the right legislation, intelligence, detection and enforcement capabilities internationally, at the UK border and within the UK, to tackle it.
