Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many applications for (a) adult and (b) child standard passports were made (i) online and (ii) by paper application in each year since 2001.

Our records indicate the volume of non-priority service standard passport applications received by HMPO for calendar years 2015, 2016 and 2017 are as follows:

Data is only available from 2015. We are unable to provide data for the period 2001 to 2014 as requested as it is not available on our system.
