Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to data published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency entitled Higher Education Student Statistics: UK 2021/22, published on 19 January 2023, what proportion of medical students that completed their training at UK higher education providers in the academic year 2021-22 were UK nationals.
The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) collects and publishes statistics on enrolments and qualifications obtained at UK Higher Education Providers (HEPs). The latest statistics refer to the 2021/22 academic year.
The table below shows the number of students that have qualified from their first degree from a UK HEP in a medical related subject, by domicile.
