Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, with reference to her Department’s estates proposals of 26 January 2017, what progress has been made on the proposal for a back-of-house acquisition in Glasgow.

DWP has acquired space at 1 Atlantic Quay, Glasgow, and has entered into an agreement to lease this with the landlord. This agreement to lease is subject to the satisfactory completion of certain design work, which is on track to be completed by June 2018. The site will house a new Jobcentre Plus Employability Suite, and four of our existing back office sites will be moved into this new Glasgow city centre office. DWP expects to take occupation as soon as practicable after the completion of the design work.
