The Digital Economy Unit has moved to the Department for Culture Media and Sport to create a strong focus on the Digital Economy within Government. The move builds on the success of the joint Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and Department for Culture Media and Sport unit which has been operating for almost a year. The unit will continue to work closely with the Department for Business and across Whitehall. The Digital Inclusion team within the Cabinet Office continues to lead on digital inclusion - equipping individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises and the voluntary community and social enterprise sector, with the basic digital skills needed to make the most of being online and to motivate them to do so.
