Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what proportion of homes are not currently attached to the gas grid by region.
The below table gives estimates of the proportion of homes not attached to the gas grid by Government Office Region as of 31 December 2016, which are the most recent estimates available. The estimates are based on the difference between the number of households and the number of domestic gas meters as published in the sub-national gas consumption data.
