There is no target for the number of people sleeping rough who will receive support through the £30 million programme for specialist mental health services. However, The NHS Long Term Plan committed to establish new specialist mental health provision for rough sleepers in 20 areas of the highest need by 2023/24. NHS England and NHS Improvement have provided funding to 23 sites and are continuing to expand specialist mental health support to people sleeping rough.
