The NHS Choices website provides comprehensive information on a range of conditions, including Charles Bonnet syndrome. This can be found at:

http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/charles-bonnet-syndrome/Pages/Introduction.aspx

The Department does not hold information on the number of people diagnosed with Charles Bonnet syndrome, nor has any such assessment been made of trends in the number of diagnoses of Charles Bonnet syndrome in recent years.

No estimate has been made by the Department of the number of misdiagnoses of Charles Bonnet syndrome or of associated costs to the National Health Service of misdiagnosis.
